Freshly picked vegetables delivered from Matsusaka fields in the morning - handcrafted by our contracted farmers

The vegetables for Suzunone Kitchen are delivered every morning from Yamashita-san's farm, a contract farmer in Matsusaka. Harvested while the morning dew still remains, the vegetables are all juicy and have a strong aroma. This freshness, with the lingering scent of the earth, is the origin of our cuisine.

The Yamashita couple use as few pesticides as possible and grow their vegetables in fluffy soil mixed with compost and rice bran. "Sparing no effort is what makes the vegetables sweeter," they say with a smile, and we are always encouraged by their appearance.

These vegetables are sent to the kitchen on the same day and are served at lunchtime in the form of a "freshly picked salad plate" or "marinated grilled vegetables." Asparagus and snap peas are especially popular in the spring. The more you chew them, the more their gentle sweetness spreads, and you can really feel the vitality of the ingredients themselves.

Producers and chefs are connected by trust and prepare meals with the same passion. The "easy meals" at Suzunone Kitchen are born from this accumulation of handiwork.
